CANCELLATION POLICY
You must notify Pilates at the Bungalow, at least 24-hours in
advance of your standing or scheduled appointment or your chart will be charged
and signed for by the instructor.
In the past, because late cancels sometimes didn't
seem to adversely affect anyone else, we had a very liberal
cancellation policy. We really really tried to make it work,
however it just didn’t. At first it didn't happen to much. But then
too many people had what they felt were "legitimate reasons for not coming to class", and
/ or they felt that they didn't do it "that
often". Over time, the number and frequency of late cancels of
everyone
combined became too great, and the liberal policy became more and more unfair to the
instructors, the studio, and other clients that were being cancelled on.
Because the policy is about the timing and the consequences of the
late cancellation, not the validity of the reason, or how frequently any one
person cancels, we do not make exceptions for late cancellations due to:
 |
not feeling well
|
 |
unable to workout because of an
injury
|
 |
car problems
|
 |
other family member problems
|
 |
childcare issues
|
 |
forgot
|
 |
couldn't find keys
|
 |
have to work
|
 |
as well as all other
non-catastrophic events
|
All of these are legitimate
reasons for not coming, however, if you can not let us know of a
situation 24 hours before your appointment or if the situation arises within 24
hours of your appointment, your chart will be charged.
We recognize that it is inconvenient and seems unfair to have
to pay if you are not coming. However, it is even more unfair and inconvenient
to the instructor, the studio and other people who have worked their calendar around you
having made an appointment, that you now want to cancel without proper notice.
If you are not feeling
"well" 36 - 24 hours before your lesson, or anticipate any other
situations that may prevent you from keeping your appointment, then you should cancel. If your spot
is still available the next day and it turns out that you can come, then you can take your
lesson.
If your situation arises within
24 hours of your appointment, we are sorry, but you will bear the responsibility
for that appointment, not the studio.
Weather cancellations and catastrophic events are the only
exception to the policy above.
